The 4/2 specific maps and settings would be discussed in the back end flash thread. None of that applies to those who don't use back end flash maps.

I do see it now. But it's only in the BB thread and not the MHD thread. I don't use BB so I don't read that one

3) Added a setting under FutureUseD = 98 that may help with wastegate rattle during decel.
No more wastegate rattle

I had horrible rattle that involved setting my DWP to 18. I set everything to your listed default values and used FUD 98 and it's wonderful again!

Thank you Terry!

Has anyone else noticed a new pressure release sound when shifting, not under high boost? I installed the 28.9 firmware and this sound appeared. Does not sound like the DVs, and shouldn't be as they aren't providing any boost when it happens.

Yes.

Do you have a gauge to display your boost, digitally? With the JB4 Mobile app you can watch very small boost numbers.

What flash are you running?

I don't have a digital gauge, I will be getting the mobile app and trying that the next time I am at home. I'm running the JB4 on top of Dinan stage 2. Any idea of where the release would be coming from?

I love the exhaust note while using FutureUseD=98, but, almost all my BOV noise has disappeared... Anyone else notice this?

Same here.. still rattle on low rpm acceleration too. Used to be able to get rid of it with 12 set at 35 but moving 12 doesn't seem to change anything anymore.

As long as FUD is not set to 98 nothing has changed in the last 10 versions with regard to wastegate adjustment or anything that would contribute or effect rattle. As far a FUD = 98 goes that may make rattle better or may make it worse, depending on what is actually wrong with your wastegates. Wastegates that are physically properly adjusted and not worn out should never rattle at any setting or position. So all these settings are just a matter of trying to mask a physical problem with software. As the wastegates further degrade expect to need to change settings. At some point no setting will mask it.

Just installed jb4 g5 I so on my 12 335is Dct and running firmware 29/0/2. I'm curious if I'm suppose to plug in the numbers on page 1 in user adjustment settings? Also is their anything special to do for dct? On page 1 it shows user adjustment settings however am I suppose to make changes under the tab methanol, or the last tab settings? Thanks

yes make sure you have the latest interface, set all duty bais to zero, make sure you adjust the 3rd gear or set it to zero,

I don't think you need something special running DCT but I noticed my friend DCT runs much smoother after the MHD BMS flash.

what happened to the "Reset DEFAUL option" and for people running back end flash, do we no longer need to set it to "n54 w/backend flash" option?

Another question, when running the backend flash now with the new interface all the options for AFR and CPS are still filled in. Does it automatically ignore them? I'm sorry if i missed something this thread is just way to long.

No reset default option to avoid issues, you can follow the 1st page to set the default values,

For backend flash you need to set the option 4/2 from streeting wheel, 4/3 for stock flash.

Make sure you download the latest interface and latest firmware, the AFR and CPS changed to AFR BAIS and Duty BAIS, make sure to set them all to zero if you use backend flash with option 4/2, if using stock flash 4/3 only Duty BAIS should be set to zero.

Make sure the 3rd gear boost also set correctly to zero or to your desired value.

Just make sure you read the firmware notes before installing it.

Then get some logs posted of the map 4 switch.

Hi Terry, With firmware 29, does that mean the fuel trims we see on the interface at idle say 25.0, previously, this would have been zero?

Around 10hz. The PID is setup for standard automotive relay.
