Its a 1 time certification. Once you purchase the M Boost via MHD, you get the module that allows higher boost. If you have custom tunes outside of these that require M Boost, then you are set.

Spencer, I see that there is a new (Aug 2016) E40 IJEOS MBoost bin in the Dropbox folder. What changes were made?

Just revised the torque ceiling tables I believe, nothing major (fuel, timing, Afr, Vanos, etc)

Spencer, looking at your revised IJEOS E40 (Aug 2016) bin now in TunerPro. I'm a little confused. Your title to this thread "Free MHD M-Boost Maps" suggests this map makes use of the purchased M-Boost MHD option. But to be clear, it is not a scaled map for use with the N20 TMAP sensor?

Scaled for stock TMAP sensor, I have updated IJEOS maps on my desktop that I can upload but I've been using my JB4 for boost control so I haven't cared too much about standalone maps as I prefer the flexibility to adjust things at the track (real track... not drag strip)

Thanks for confirming, Spencer. I would be keen to have a look at any scaled IJEOS maps for N20 TMAP you may have. I've been slowly crafting a scaled map for E50 IJEOS FBO sans DP, N20 TMAP and Fuel-It's TBI (see my listed mods) and would be happy to share my handiwork with you. Here's my latest log, in which you can see I'm currently dialing in my scalars to correct my trims: http://***********/u/jeffman/log-1472...21&zoom=50-122

Tried out the august update e40 map, love it however Id like to bring down the boost to like 19.5psi-20 max. I downloaded tuner pro but have no idea what to change in the tune. Did some searching but was not able to find an answer. Can anyone point me in the right direction or maybe change it, for a small fee if need be?

You should really look through the Tuning 101 threads here and on Bimmerboost. V8bait's tuning spreadsheet over there is a good place to start. Then once you've done that come on back and I'll tell you to lower your maximum load target values by 5-10%.

am planning on flashing this map myself, where is the boost target at now? any particular reason you want to lower the boost? did you also have to download the mboost option on mhd to run this map? sorry about all the questions but i would like to know as much i can before i flash the map.

thanks.

I was hitting 21.8 at times. I don't want to push the factory turbos that hard plus I'm auto xi.

Yes you have to buy mboost, won't let you flash the map until you do.

Car is a beast on this map. The mhd torque gauge reads around 730 nm.

I'm about to go MHD only. I'll probably use the E60 map with MBoost. Can't wait to see what that's like. Does the android device download the maps? Are they locked?

Yeah, i noticed that. I just wonder if those are locked or not? I think paying for an OTS map that's locked doesn't make any sense. Just as well buy a protune if you're going to end up with a locked .bin.

All the mhd ots maps are locked. Guess it's some top secret stuff in there.

Pro maps can be locked, make sure whomever you chose to do your tune doesn't lock if you have any intention of making adjustments yourself. Only thing more annoying than paying $50 for a locked map is paying $200+ for a locked map.

You don't want to use MBoost maps on a DCT anyway. As soon as you raise boost ceiling above 1.28bar, the car will never shift right. The only ways to really get over the 18.5psi ceiling on a DCT flash only is to let the PID float boost over target or use a scaled map.

I don't mind a protune map being locked. I'm paying for a custom calibration and if the tuner wants to keep his techniques a secret that's his choice. I used to wish I could lock DSMLink maps when I tuned DSMs. Guys wereways messing up the tunes after I was almost finished with them.
