Log the 3rd pull.

May be worth doing a run without the sprint device to see if that is at all relevant. It does seem like your throttle is slow to come on once you mash the pedal.

Not sure if it may be the firmware out of date but this is the version I am using and I also have the v1 board when I uploaded the newest firmware it gave me driver malfunction and 4 different codes so went back to this one

Looks like your wastegate is learning up and closing better now. However you are still pretty off your boost targets.

Can you do a proper log please. 3rd gear. Shifter to the left. Manual shifting. Sport+. Dsc off. 2k rpm pedal to the floor. Take it to 65krpm shift to 4th. Give another 2 secs. Take foot off the gas.

I would also suggest you post it in the support sub forum. That way BMS can weigh in as the experts.

Thats a better log. The others you had multiple gear pulls.

Something funky is going on beyond my expertise. Map 2 is supposed to be an additive map, but your looks like an absolute map. Still not hitting boost targets. Boost leak may be your issue.

I would post your latest map 5 and map 2 pulls in the support section. So BMS can weigh in. May need a new control board or firmware adjustment.

Hello all,

So I recently purchased the jb4 piggy for my n55 335i. Everything works great but the bc in dash. To go over some things I have done: made sure obdII was connected correctly, f10 comp mode enabled. ObdII bc button is not disabled. Updated to latest firmware. Anything Iím missing here?

Default Jb4 not working after firmware update. - 11-01-2021, 10:15 AM

Hi guy's hope all well. Recently tried to update the firmware on my f series n55 ewg jb4. All seemed to be OK and flashed OK. Bluetooth no longer connects, car runs like crap, jb4 no longer operational either, won't connect via Bluetooth or laptop and no dash control either. Have I blown this 2580 chip or something? I also wanted to run the ewg add on cable but now not sure what firmware to use. Need to resuscitate the jb4 first of course. Please help!!! Thanks guys

Hi Craig, I think it's a different problem but I recently updated the firmware on my 2015 M235i (EWG) and it killed my car as well. Turns out that even though my CAR has an EWG, the JB4 I have is an early PWG version. I flashed the latest PWG firmware, and the car was fine. Since you can't connect to your JB4, I'm not sure how much this will help you.

Contact support at BMS directly, via email - they were very helpful.

Hi flipper thanks for the reply bud. I'm sure I have the correct board v3.0 of something. Was all fine but I thought I'd try the latest firmware. I've now ordered the new chip from Bms in haste. Read quite a few similar scenarios about the chip blowing. Currently the jb4 has been removed awaiting the chip. Cant beleive my luck with this car lately with all the plastic sh*t under the bonnet needing replacement. Done all the charge ***** including the turbo intake one, not cheap😭

Default BMS bov vs dv - 11-10-2021, 06:36 PM

Hey folks

I have the bms bov installed. A buddy w a similar car build as mine mentioned the potential need to get a dv+.

Question:

Should I get a dv (ts or gb) rather than the bms bov?

Thanks
Daniel

Updated to latest firmware, getting drivetrain error, reduced power, codes 123511 and 120408. Changed from map 5 to map 0, haven't gotten the error in 2+ days. Should I be updating my PID or any other settings with this new version? Sorry no logs available at the moment.

Could have a wrong setting, can't check that until you attach a CSV.

I see you have them but are your EWG wires connected? Also, set your user adjustments back to the default values, enable option 6 since you have a BEF loaded, and then do a proper log on map 5.

To properly evaluate the tuning, we'll need a full throttle JB4 log from 40-90mph on a safe private track.

Did you set FF to 50 and it already worked its way back up to 150?

Also, try a log on map 1...I want to see what that looks like.
