Default BMS Intakes for GLC 63S AMG missing parts - 03-23-2021, 04:09 PM

I received my intakes yesterday and during the install I discovered I am missing 2 "allen key fasteners" needed to attach the drivers side heat shield. I have emailed Tech support, and Ando has told me I need to reuse the OEM bolts, which are too short, but that are also reused later in the install to hold the tube brackets to the engine.

The following is from the install guide on the product page

On page 5 of the install guide it says " Remove the two fasteners holding the metal rail on the driverís side of the engine (LHD vehicles). These will be reused elsewhere later in the install."

on page 8 it says "Install the filter to the intake tube loosely and place on the vehicle as shown, using the fasteners removed from the driverís side metal rail earlier in the install to secure the tubes "

You need those bolts to attach the intake tube brackets to the vehicle, which is why on page 6 it says " Attach the factory intake inlet to the driverís side heat shield and install as shown using the provided Allen key fasteners"

Yet Ando replied with "Yes, to reuse the OEM once you removed from there. ".....

Is it really this much of a process to get the 2 fasteners missing from the kit, that as per the install guide are required? In the interim im using a standoff you are told to remove to hold down the drivers side tube, and only have 1 fastener on the drivers shield, which was include with the stand off for the passenger side... This cannot be considered acceptable can it ?

Help me out here Terry please... I didn't want to bring you into this, but your website chat guy also refuses to help me on this, and I don't think I have any other option at this point.

Sure happy to help you sort out whatever issue you have. What is your email address? I'll go checkout what Ando was doing here.
