I noticed someone said about their better fuel economy.

I am stage 1 MHD 98RON and i get 22MPG around town and 32MPG on a 70-80mph run.

Very pleased with that considering i got 16MPG before mapping.

Yea, I am able to go back to stock, but the issue is that my old BIN had something I need.

This doesn't seem like it's going to end well for me

I was suprised as well - E85 map on BB was a 19-20 mpg hwy....with MHD it is now 22-23 mpg.

I wonder what the Pump is....

Good work guys.

If you changed the right sensor (bank 1 after DP), maybe you have an electrical issue. Check wires all along till the DME connection.

Are you reading codes with JB4 or MHD?

The file is YOUVINXXXX_original.bin in the root of MHD folder on the device.

Default MHD update - 10-01-2015, 01:28 AM

Here is the change log for the 09/24 (v1.10) update:
- up to 3 "JB4 backends only" licences can be purchased
- Stage 0 (stock map) is available for the "jb4 backend only" licence, to quickly switch to a stock map.
- map updates are 10s faster (other modules code clearing removed)
- Added codes clearing for other modules (transmision, dsc etc). Codes reading is supported only on the DME.

and the previous v1.09 build:
- new option: deactivate the pedal kickdown switch
- new option: raise engine idle speed
- show licences displays the order numbers

Make sure ignition is on (engine off) and JB4 in map 0. Otherwise you have a faulty cable.

Is the battery adaptation reset the same thing as registering a new battery with the bt tool?

I uninstalled my COBB AP then tried to flash the MHD Built in E40 Map and I keep getting an error. It says it cannot communicate with ECU. Turn ignition ON and plug into OBD.

I tried about 10 times with no luck. I feel I am missing something very simple here. HELP!

Do I need to purchase anything?!?!

unfortunately BMS flashes don't have great notes.. We're told that there are lots of little improvements that add up.. Fueling, trims, afr, etc etc.

Guys,

BMS flashes are for JB4 users....if you don't have a JB4 installed you should stick to the MHD flashes.

Plugged in the android this morning to adjust the idle speed/reflash. MHD says a cable isn't connected. I just used the cable with DIS yesterday with no issues. In fact, when I plug the cable in MHD pops up, so I know it's seeing it. JB4 is on map zero. Anyone experience something like this? The only change I can think of would be updates on the android. Running 5.0.2 now.

With an auto trans you will benefit as the tranny will see higher observed load to torque if I remember correctly. Mt users don't benefit as much but it's definitely worth the upgrade imo

Registering is only needed when your new abeerry has different specs than the former. But any battery change requires a battery adaptation reset.

I think bms doesn't support old JB4 versions. There is a cool thing about g4 that g5 can't do - map 0 is really passive, and you can run a MHD stand alone map, with the DME flash controlling the boost.

Most likely a cable issue. http://bimmersoftware.com/Cables is highly recommended.

Do you have Torque or other OBD apps installed? Maybe another app is fighting for cable control. Try a device reboot too.

Either you run MHD Stage1, or you install a jb4 to run a BMS backend instead of stage1.

Already tried the reboot. No go. Your app is the only app installed on the tablet. I bought it just for this. Other thoughts?
