I'm running 1+ with DCI, charge pipe and E85 mix with no issues at all (no knock or timing drops). IAT's get a little high after a run or two - to be expected until I replace the FMIC.

Best thing you can do is try a map and log to see if your car is handling it. If you're running 1 go up to 1+ with the correct gas and log to see what it does. If it does well, bump up to 2 and log.

Hi guys,

Im new here so i apologise if this is not the right area. I did try the search bar but couldnt seem to find anything related to my question.

I have a 2008 335i running the JB4 and MHD Backend flash Race map. im using the I8A0S map. My friend is running the IJE0S map and he mentioned that he has an exhaust burble/backfire option. I couldnt not find this option on my map even when i tried to reflash.

I was wondering if the I8A0S maps do not have this feature? is it possible for me to achieve this option?

I look forward to hearing from you.

Make sure you have the newest versions of MHD and the MHD JB4 backend I8A0S bin files. There is a options button just below the last button that is pressed to start the flashing process. You should find the "burble" settings there. A reflash with these settings will be necessary even if its the same map over again.

Hello,

I just have an request and i hope MHD could develop it's the Rev limiter while the gear isn't engaged since all our cars has DP and other mods that increases the sound of the exhaust Rev limiter like for 3000RPM will prevent the sound and save engine also we won't have any issue going through any Checkpoint.

Soooo obviously this seems unrelated BUT... While doing a flash earlier tonight, MHD was at that 98ish% mark or so and you hear some things click and dash lights and so on.. Normal behavior for me at least and I've flashed plenty of times, but right before it finished (while it was doing the clicks and what not) one of my angel eye bulbs went out??? It could obviously just be a huge coincidence but it just seems very very odd to me.. I saw it out of the corner of my eye it seemed to flash really bright and then off.. I have those LED proprietary bulbs on mine not the h8s... I know deep down its most likely unrelated but it really bothers me on the timing of it, and I'm just wondering if anything weird has happened like that to anyone? I'm gonna let the car sit overnight and try it in the morning and hook the mycarly app up and see what's going on.. I did recently update the jb4 firmware to the most recent which has the auto map 0 feature, thought about something not quite working right on that because I know you can have undesirable effects when not in map 0...

OK, so I guess I have to make the switch to MHD from Cobb after speaking with Ken Atkinson with ***** after inquiring about a custom tune.

Hopefully you guys can tell me everything I am going to need to set up my 2008 535i with MHD. Which Android tablet is best to use at a decent price? Link to Cable I am going to need in order to flash, etc.

Will this be better for my car than my Cobb that I currently have on stage 2+?

Current mods on my car
- VRSF Catle$$ DP
- VRSF Stepped IC
- ER Chargepipe with Tial BOV
- BMs DCI

2A87 outlet vanos
2A98 crankshaft inlet correlation
2AA4 Camshaft sensor inlet, tooth failure
Hey there, did you fix this? I had a lot of the same issues, but now only have 3100 and 2aa4 codes left. I replaced both solenoids, two check valves, and both camshaft sensors (all DIY). I was then getting limp, engine malfunction screen, and then it started stalling after camshaft sensors were replaced.
I took to dealership. They said they needed to check for tooth jump. they said everything was fine but they replaced camshaft bearing ledge (after I asked them to check it) and replaced vanos unit ($2100).
AFTER ALL THAT, THE CAR IS STILL REPORTING SAME CODES AND IS STILL STALLING! now they're saying the DME is bad and needs to be replaced but I see other people on threads who had these codes and fixed them without replacing DME. I don't trust them but want them to finish the job since I already am spending $2100. Please let me know. Thanks so much!!!!

Hey ,
To get the Burble option , go to the play store , look for the MHD app , scroll down and you'll see a beta testing option, click and after a few minutes youll see an update option for the app . After the update you'll see options tab , which will include burble option , before you flash a map .

This is a good price for a good tablet that will work. I have an iPad pro with a keyboard case and this guy is significantly smaller. I had a Samsung tablet that's a nook from the bookstore and that wouldn't work for some reason. The cheap kindle fire's can run it eventually but it's a huge pain in the balls to set up on a mac so just get this one and not have the headache that I dealt with.
You can also create an android device on your mac or pc and run the app through there if you're computer savvy enough.

Does he can mhd flash?? If so, which one should work with his manual tranny car??

Hello,

I'd like to flash a JB4 or MHD back end and followed the sticky.

Surely a stupid question but I can't find my DME version (IJEOS or I8AOS) in the JB4 read only section.

Where should I find the version ?

Thank you.

When you plug in MHD it tell you before flashing.

Does using the burble effect have any bad side effects?
I've read they can foul your plugs, which is maybe not the worst.

But somebody (not sure if it's reliable) told me it can damage catalytic in the exhaust or even the turbo?? I've been using 0s in basic mode en 1,5 in sport (medium/hard setting).

Are there any side effects from the "burble" option? Plugs fouling quicker? Expedited carbon build up? Anything?

Didn't face any side issues except the low throttle on and off around 60,

But overall after using it for 2 weeks i removed the burble as the car didn't feel smooth like without it, so far in 1 week I got selinod valve mechanical check error twice after removing it, not sure if it's related but never had any issues before

I have a question, if I'm not going to run more than 18 PSI, no E85 and not track the car, is the backend flash worth the trouble and gains for a street car?

for me JB4 alone didn't drive as smooth as with the back-end flash.
