Default 2021 G07 jB4 install - 01-30-2021, 03:29 PM

I am trying to install a jB4 into a brand new 2021 X7 M50i. The install directions do not match at all. Maybe I am missing something but completely different. Also, once I get into the wastegate connectors, the clips are on the wrong sides, but the connectors match otherwise. Just curious if others have tried this install yet.

Thanks, Ben

The EWG won't be compatible yet if you have the 180 out connections. As for the rest should be the same, TMAP sensors are located on the intercooler.

Thanks Terry. Do you expect to just create a middle adapter harness to fix this in the future?

Can I ask what your build date is? BMW changed the N63TU3 DME in June, and the newer ones supposedly can’t be unlocked or tuned yet. If yours is newer and the JB4 works, I know I can install mine on my 8/26/20 build.

Would that also be true for a 2021 X5 M50i built in mid September of 2020? Probably a stupid question but I am learning.

The build date is Jan-25-2021. I installed the jB4 over the weekend and it appears to be working correctly minus the wastegate control.

Was asking in terms of M550i vs M50i, wondering if they would be exactly the same. I am new to this BMW turbocharged stuff.

Can you gives us a short review. Does the vehicle feel faster? Increase in low end, mid range, top end? Really like to hear.

They're identical besides the air filtration system and ***-back. Even the ********* are shared.

Perfect. Once we get a little warmer I'll do it too.
