Default N63tu Engine questions (BMW 2015 550i) - 07-16-2021, 08:33 AM

I'm about to sign the paperwork on a '15 550i with 48k miles. It's CPO - no major repairs listed of any sort.

I've read some concerns about the engine, but it seems like this was fixed (or at least improved) in 12/13. But there are still some posts saying it was too little late?

What is the verdict here on the updated engine?VidMate Mobdro

It was 2014 when the TU came out. I would have no problem buying a car with the N63TU, as long as it’s under 100k. If it’s over, I’d immediately swap the turbos and go through it carefully. I’d consider the N63TU fixed. Most of the issues were taken care of.
