Default Issues with ECA and MOTIV flex fuel kit - 05-06-2020, 11:55 AM

Hey everyone, I did a search and have been checking all the other forums as well and can't find the solution to my problem here and am hoping someone can help me out.

I recently installed the MOTIV flex fuel kit, including their GM ethanol sensor, short line upgrade, as well as the module for MHD.
The install was pretty straight forward on the wiring part to the DME, only issues I had were the wrong size fittings were sent to me so it was a bit of work to make the fuel lines not leak.

The issue I am having is the that when logging in MHD, my ethanol content percentage reads stupid high. When idling and cruising it states I am at around 75% ethanol, and if I give it any load (like more than 40 or 50 load) the ethanol percentage jumps up to 100%.

I know for a fact that the amount of ethanol in my tank is at or around 10%. I filled almost full tank of canadian 94 octane before the install (0% ethanol) and then topped up with about 10 liters of e85 (our local pump fluctuates and is currently around e60-e65)

I have contacted MOTIV and he asked for pictures of my engine codes on MHD and a log at idle. I sent everything he needed over and haven't heard back for 2 days.

I am wondering if anyone else has had any issues like this before and maybe it's a simple fix. In the meantime, I have adjusted my tune to not see any more than e10 when the sensor maxes out just so I don't blow up my car as it's my daily. This is a temporary fix.
The picture uploaded is from before I flashed my modified map onto the car.

Thanks in advance!
Julian

You might get faster MOTIV replies emailing Jake & his team directly.

I don't know if they frequent here much.

Enjoy the weekend
