Default Advice for newbie getting first dyno - 10-10-2020, 09:47 AM

So, I’m getting my first dyno tonight. My current mods are in my signature. I’ve got an MHD BEF coming, as well as a DCI, but they won’t be here for another week or two.

Again, I’m a total newcomer. Any tips or advice on how to make the most of this?

For anyone looking for the answer, here is a post from Terry.

This is what I've got from the dyno tech. Check the following:

□ No fluid leaks (Leaking fluids can damage electronics under the dyno, and cause traction issues)
□ No check engine light or ECU codes that may affect drivability or tuning
□ Ride height is adjusted, or front and rear bumpers are removed (for clearance on to lift, and to have room to securely strap the car down onto the dyno)
□ Check fluid levels - oil, coolant, transmission, power steering, etc.
□ Check for compression, vacuum, and/or boost leak
□ Tires have adequate tread, no traction issues (including due to camber)
□ No exposed wires. All connections soldered or butt-connected
□ Battery and alternator in good working order and producing adequate voltage
□ Identify strap-down points, ensure they are not obstructed or exposed to heat from exhaust, wastegate, or pinch points

Right? But I wanted baseline. Here's what I put up. Something happened at the dip and wound up with a couple of codes.
