Default HPFP crashing to 6 WOT, LPFP time? - 09-30-2018, 07:58 AM

Issue started a couple months ago and has gradually gotten worse. WOT causes HPFP to crash immediately. Engine sputtering when it happens.

Replaced the fuel filter/pressure regulator and issue remains. Lower octane causes issue.

Any tips on what to try next? Notcied a lot of LPFP upgrades on the Fuel-it website. Don't want to do that route before I know it'll fix this issue.

From log looks like the HPFP crashes when the TRIMS signal increases from 25

Looks like you're stuck in some sort of open loop. Try setting open loop to 0 and see if that does anything. HPFP might be the culprit.

Set FOL to 0? I've got Trebila doing a custom BEF. And the car was doing this before with the BMS BEF. Only started 1-2 months ago.

Here's a log where the HPFP crashed but didn't get the sputtering causing power loss. Slowly getting worse over the month.

Replaced HPFP and issue remains. LPFP from Fuel-it on the way. I hope this isn't related to the JB4 in the end.

It looks much better than the previous log. Got anything recent with the new hpfp I can look at?

That was a log from a month ago when the HPFP crashing was starting. I haven't been able to get a full log @WOT because of this current problem. Here's a log front today where I stepped on it and a couple seconds later I had to let off.

Could this have anything to do with a bad JB4 board? The TRIMS signal doesn't budge. This was FOL 70 again, fresh BEF, clear adaptations, etc.

What could be causing the trims to stick at 25 and crash the HPFP? I've replaced the following and the issue remains.

-Fuel Filter/Pressure regulator
-HPFP
-LPFP stage 2

This doesn't seem to be related to either of the fuel pumps. What else can I try? FOL @ 0 didn't change anything. Would o2 sensors have anything to do with this?

I can't believe I've spent all this money and the issue remains. Look at how rich this log is at partial throttle just before WOT

New O2 sensors installed (upstream/downstream). Post *** looked beatup. Reset all adaptations w/ MHD & JB4. Loaded BEF again. Haven't gone WOT yet to allow the car to learn, but I did notice the trims sticking at 25 through the JB4 app around 40% pedal (that wasn't encouraging as that was the problem before).
We'll see tomorrow how the car reacts to WOT.

Pic of pre/post O2 sensors

Problem still persists after O2 sensors change. Could this be related to software/JB4 somehow? I reinstalled all the connectors for the JB4 today as well.

Replaced items so far (all new)

-HPFP
-Stage 2 LPFP
-Fuel Filter/pressure regulator
-O2 sensors
-Plugs have 4k
-Coils have 20k

What else could be the issue here causing the HPFP to crash at WOT? Trims sticking in the beginning of WOT? JB4 ignoring boost targets on Map 6 (+3psi above targets)? Can you send me a new board to test?

1st Log = 3rd WOT (few seconds in, sputtering, let off, WOT again, sputtering)
2nd Log = Idling, normal driving 1st, 2nd, 3rd. Car running really rich, even hitting 12's for AFR's under medium throttle.

EDIT: Looking back through my logs, this TRIMS issue started after I got my DME unlocked and first loaded up a BEF (6/29/18). HPFP was fine back then, but gradually got worse. Trims still stick to this day.
