Default Tuning. - 01-24-2018, 09:40 PM

So I'm currently running single turbo wih JB4/ mhd bef. Which has been working awesome so far. But recently I've been feeling like I can get more out of the car....could be wrong?

So I guess my questions are:
Can I get more out of the car with a custom tune?
Terry, do you offer custom bef?

I've found a handful+ of tuners/company's who tune our cars. Nothing but mixed reviews from everyone.

Any advised and help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys!

No way to tell without seeing a log. There may be an issue with your current setup.

We don't do "custom flashes" as the OTS flashes are fine for most people. If you feel your car is a bit beyond that or needs special attention, you may want to reach out to one of the companies that offer custom BEF's.

Hey Steve sorry for the late reply, itís been really cold here hard to get traction to get you a log. but I went to try and get a log or two and the car has cylinder 6 misfire, with 2a2b code, along with rough idle and bank one afr stuck at 20. Any idea? Hereís a log at idle.

Would need a full throttle log for tuning help.

On the fault codes need to sort those out before you can tune it. Maybe O2 sensor issue? Read the codes and address based on that. Then when its running as it should be post up a log.

Thanks for the quick reply terry. So far everything is checking out ok besides the bank one oxygen sensor. Iíll have them both replaced by Monday. If all goes as planned I should have new logs to upload. Thanks again!

May want to look into upgraded o2 sensors- NTK or ADV seem to be the 2 choices for more durable sensors, especially when single turbo.

I’ll definitky be upgrading the O2s, but for now i had to get it driving again.

Got the car running again(no o2 issues anymore) but now the JB4 app wont run. Currently using the HDMI-to the tablet, when it try’s to connect JB4 it says can not connect. Another try resulted in the tablet telling me serial port not available. I’ve tried to uninstall the app, then re install but will wont connect to JB4.

All other JB4 functions are working as they should, besides connecting to the mobile app. Any ideas?

Yes same tablet Iíve been using for over a year with zero issues until yesterday.

I tried again this morning, worked first try. So I went to log and under full throttle the app froze and then said JB4 app has stopped working. Iím starting to hint towards my tablet possibly failing.

Very possible. I tried a couple of ďcheapĒ tablets over the years, none seemed to last very long.

Iíve always had the best luck utilizing the JB4 app on my phone.

hey terry i still can not get the data cable to connect to the jb4, tried using different devices, and my lap top.All functions through steering wheel controls work... Im going to order a new cable from you now to see if that fixes it, after that im out of ideas as to what could be causing it.

If the cable does not fix the no connection issue, any other ideas as to what to try?

Could be an issue with the board if the new cable doesn't work.

Okay got the cable/no connection issue figured out🙌🏻

Itís been a few days since Iíve driven it and under full boost seems to sputter, and boost is super laggy. Iíve also been kicked lean twice.
On about e20-e30 mix- test 93oct
Any advice would be great.

In both logs your triggering safety 1 which is overboost safety.

Both logs you start overboosting right around 3800 rpm

What are you DB settings?

JB4 is not adding any WGDC, what spring is in there and have you done a log on map 1 to verify spring pressure and setup?

I believe I have red/black which are 14 if I remember correctly. But map 1 always targets 17psi, and it seems to boost around 18psi on map 1. I can log map one again here shortly just to confirm.

Log is a bit short but your map 1 and map 2 logs looks virtually identical. JB4 is not controlling boost. Spring pressure may be too high. Try a log on map 3.

Lower FF to 10 to see if that helps with the overboost.

HPFP is struggling badly, that is going to be an issue for you until you get PI installed or reduce your ethanol concentration.

Steve, Terry, Dave...im an idiot

Found the cap missing off the mac solenoid... car seems to pull much better with no major over boost issues...

ill post a log in a bit to FINALLY get back on the subject of possibly tweaking the jb4.
