Awesome to see these initial results on the Type S! Hopefully the harnesses are available soon and we can get the full install.
I had the JB4 tune on a Stinger GT1 and it made a world of difference in the power. I feel like the Type S is a similar car in the sense that it’s underpowered in stock, but has tons of potential.
Do you foresee any other mods needed to go along with the tune (like plugs or oil catch can)?
The stock plugs seem fine so far, but we'll continue evaluating as we crank up the power! Nothing else needed that we can tell.

Looks like connectors fit nicely. Was also able to get a few photos of the "clean" way on the OBDII install which we'll be adding to the guide.

Any more dyno runs or recommended tune settings since the last one?
Also, anyone seen a good CAI for the Type S yet? Terry, you have a nice design for the Stinger that uses the stock airbox. The location in the Type S seems amenable for this same design, right?
We'll do some addl dyno testing next week on the car and see what we can do!

Was able to strap it back down for some additional testing today with our new JB4 integrated MAF control. It certainly made things a lot easier!
Since last time the owner has added high flow *** and an upper chargepipe. We tested on the same ~93 octane fuel (mostly 91 with a couple gallons E85 to simulate 93) to keep it consistent. Surprisingly the mods didn't seem to do much for power. I suspect part of the issue is the factory tuning isn't able to really accomidate them leading to a wonky boost/torque dip in the midrange.
Fortunately the JB4's dynamic MAF control was able compensate on the fly and we quickly got power back on track. I have no way of knowing what the changes really did vs a 100% factory car. But we'll find out sooner or later. I suspect we'd be at around 375whp on a 100% factory car with the current mapping and fuel.
Closing in on 400whp quickly! There is plenty more turbo, the hold up right now is fuel volume. Since the JB4 isn't modifying the factory flash tables we have to work within certain boundaries. Normally to get more fuel trim room we'd hijack the fuel pressure sensor. But on this car it's under the intake manifold so won't be practical. Of course, WMI is a great alternative, so we'll focus some development time on that next.

What would be a general timeframe for the harness to ship for a current beta user?
I just found out we only have around 5 MAF connectors (a handful were sent early to test fitment), and around 15 BETA customers so far, so a few of you will get them this week and the rest as soon as the bulk of the connector order comes in. Might be a couple weeks after. Not sure yet. They'll be working on getting them out as fast as we can though.

For those wondering how AFR looks during a longer run, here is a 0-100 log. Note AFR remains around stoich until EGT starts to ramp then quickly jumps down to 10.9:1. Also note fuel is cut during shifts momentarily. This is the same logic seen on almost all 2016+ direct injection platforms including those from BMW which we specialize in. So it's no surprise to see it here with Acura.
We may be able to gain some trap speed down the road leaning that out to around 11.8:1 but we'll need a car with a EGT probe mounted preturbo to do that testing safely. For now, we'll leave it as is.

JB4 installed with MAF connectors (thank you!) along with PRL drop in filter and P2R intake tube. Definitely a noticeable gain especially once the turbo spools up. Still a little lag at the beginning of full throttle - is that tunable? One weird thing on my first WOT on Map2 and in Sport+ mode (logs attached): half way though there was a huge power cut. Very noticeable during the run. How does the log look and any thoughts on why the power cut?
Looks like grazed the rev limiter in 2nd. Is it shifting itself or are you shifting it?
