Default First Log Review - 10-01-2020, 10:10 AM

Time to pop my cherry. This is my first log review. Only have the JB4 with a connect kit, 7.5 FMIC, stage 2 colder plugs. Not sure what to look for here. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Do this for most helpful log info:

Tracton control disabled
3rd gear
Wide Open Throttle - smash pedal without hitting kickdown button
2000 rpm to redline

you can set JB4 to auto log at wide open throttle to make it easier

a few things to note on the logs as is...fp_h or hpfp is not keeping up at full throttle, could be failing/poor high pressure fuel pump. ecu psi, target and boost are pretty messy, you are not making boost

Hey,

First - welcome

Proper logs are usually done as follows:

3rd gear
WOT (pedal 100% to floor)
2k rpm - redline
shift into 4th
slow down, and end log

This any better? I guess I kept gunning it into 4th before stopping the log.

Also, what are the most useful metrics for the graphical view?

Thanks! Added another log closer to what you mentioned. Should I include the log for 3rd gear ONLY?

Bump your FOL up to 90 & relog

91, though likely with e10 - e15. We don't have the best gas where I live. I've been told that they tend to use old leftovers from other states of lesser grade gasoline and add ethanol to bring the average octane up.

No flash, yet. Planning on MHD PUMP USA. Waiting for wifi adapter to ship.

FOL = Fuel Open Loop? It's currently at 73. Will bump up to 90 and relog. What am I looking for and what is ideal?

Thanks for your time!

A couple of questions:
  • Should I be concerned that the cylinders/ignition/timing isn't consistent or tracking closely? Am I reading that correctly?
  • How are my Low and high pressure fuel logs looking? I'd like to run ~30% e85 on top of our available 91 octane (that also has up to ~10% ethanol). Should I consider a LPFP upgrade now, or later?

Again, many thanks for your time and expertise. Much appreciated for a newcomer to the world of moding/tuning/logging.

Did a dyno tonight and threw the 29F2 open loop set too high. Also got a 29E2, which seems to point to the pump.

Ran it on map 4 and then map 5.
