Default N54 engine issues...2010 135i - 09-25-2020, 07:35 AM

Hey Guys I have a 2010 135i with the N54 engine (13k miles). On the ride home today the car started to have a very faint studder, almost felt like a flat tire or dented rim. Or like the clutch was only partially engaged. Upon pulling into my driveway, stopping the car and idling,it began to shake quite vigorously in neutral.

Obviously anything wronng with this should be covered under warranty but has anyone had issues with this? Being such a late N54 (11/2009 mfg date) I thought it wouldn't have had a hpfp or injector issue?

Anyone had this issue with the n54? if so, what was the fix? routerlogin 192.168.l.l

First of all, that is some incredibly low mileage for a 2010 n54. Congrats.

I would honestly go right to the service department with that if you have a warranty. It being a manual trans, and shaking like that at idle in neutral, could be a lot of things but hard to troubleshoot without time and money. I don't think I'd even drive it there. Get it towed just in case.

Any codes? If an injector misfires (stutter while driving), it will kill the cylinder which will make it shake like crazy. Turn the car off and back on, it should clear. Then get index 12 injectors, new plugs, etc.
