Default 600whp goal - 09-08-2020, 08:30 PM

hello there hope everyone doing ok at these times,

I currenlty own a 2009 335i with dct with FBO running 91 oct mhd and jb4 BEF.

the car is has ok power, however my life goal is to make 600whp on the n54 platform or the b58 on the only recourse available in here which is 91 oct, (thats sad i know, but i have to work with what i have). I might daily the car at 450whp or even 500whp but when someone pulls up to me i can unleash all 600whp which is a good number to beat a lot of exotic cars.

the current offering in the martket that might be close to my goal is

19t turbo, like RB high flow or GC 2.0 or even the DAW s4, mmp1k

or a single turbo with 6266 or 6466 from speedtech, ( reason for a bottom mount is in the summer temp reach 40c which more 100F in the day and about 37 at night.

if i cant reach that goal on this platorm without the aid of meth or E85,( which both not available)

i might swtich to a b58 or s55.

what do you guys think ?

it is achievable with rb game finishers or pure high flow stage 2 in combination with port injection and meth. i have no experience with the ebay china choo choos but im hearing decent things.

speed tech is def a good option as well with port injection. can hit 550 on pump gas easy.

i guess it really depends on your budget.

alternatively the b58 platform is a 10 second car with the *ownpipes tune and fuel pump.

sure 550whp is so decent, however 600whp is the goal and sadly there is no meth available in my country. because its not produced here and even the one shipped need special authorization to buy it.

and i dont more than 600whp because 99% of the cars on the streets in stock form are less than 600whp.

i been reading alot about the g35-1050 and it seems a very good option, as it flows 95lb/min on 20 psi, which will make it perfect to flow more air at less boost making knock a bit further away on lower oct. correct me if i am wrong,

Bigger turbo doesnt necessarily mean more power. Upgraded turbos with proper exhaust, inlet (air flow), tuning, fueling (without port injection) is possible. tune, tune and tune-test and tune some more. you can definitely reach those goals easily without to much money. ignition timing is important. Seems like you want the higher horsepower out of the bunch. play with it. a fully balanced system will hit those goals easy.

I personally think your limiting factor is going to be octane.

Given you don't have access to meth or ethanol.

600 whp is a lofty goal on straight 91...you're very unlikely to get there.

hey I believe you messaged me about this a few days ago on instagram (2jzn54) - as I said there and everyone is reiterating here this is not how you want to achieve it and you are asking for trouble doing so. good luck with your build.

well i do understand that, but can somone explain to me why the s55 can get there, like the ones with kratos turbos, 650whp on 91 oct or i think 600. the bore and stroke is almost the same as the n54, maybe the head flows different,

i know the stock turbos are close to 16t twins so in stock form is pretty good turbos.

anyway i will get the my single turbo kit as soon as i fix this problem that i got.. the fuel regulator is rotating with the lock ring. i sense the previous owner miss treated that part, i am afraid to cut the ring that may induce some sparks, and next to fuel that's a bad idea.
