FYI to all those interested - I did 3rd gear pulls and a 40-110 pull yesterday and sent the logs to Terry. Everything looks good. I'm pretty much FBO w/ 93 octane but no meth. I need to get a little e85 next week and see how that effects boost...

Terry, since I believe the F30 and the F10 (such as my '11 535i) share the same JB4 firmware now, I would be willing to give this a try and capture some logs? I just want to be sure this firmware is compatible with my F10. I have been waiting for a firmware with a autotune!

My 535i is fully stock, runs 93 octane exclusively.

Terry, for the EWG n55's are you testing cars equipped with both the 3in and 4in turbo outlets?

Lets get some more reviews!
I just installed my dp, intake and the new firmware last night. I only drove it for about 15 mins and loved it. More logs coming today.

John told me it might not be compatible as map 3 is disabled for now so I am a bit confused if I should buy it or not as N20 is an option when buying the Methanol Injection.

Default Why not just use Map 5? - 04-19-2014, 05:22 PM

Why not just use Map 5: Autotuning. Adjusts boost curve from 11psi peak to 16psi peak based on octane, mods, climate, etc.??

seems like the best choice among all the MAPS with N55 JB4.

I am a noobie, so I may have missed the answer.

Read the first post. Map 5 is still under development. Although, it looks like it should be ready soon with a software update.

when I try to download the .hex file for the firmware, it saves as attachment.php. is there something wrong with the file posted for download?

I just received and installed my JB4. should I expect the most recent firmware to already be installed? What Firmware and Interface Version should I see in the interface?

Thanks

I had to update in order for the steering wheel controls to work !! i could connect and see the box via the laptop , but until i downloaded the latest firmware in this post it wouldn't play ball. Just wanted to throw my .02 in as well, anxiously waiting for the EWG control. I like my stage 1.5 but want to see what this stage 2 really intended to be:-)

Working on it daily. Plenty of work to go but starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
