Default Jb4 f56 and waranty - 08-05-2017, 12:07 PM

Yesterday my friend's f56 jcw mini was refused waranty
Work at a local UK mini dealer ship because
He had a remap.
They explained to us that these
New ecu auto log any changes.
My question is if I am using the jb4 that is plugged
Into the obd port would this be recorded on the ecu and show up as soon as they plug into there diagnostics.

A reflash is always easily detected. A piggyback like JB4 is hard if not impossible to detect. But, if you cause damage with modifications, do not try to use warranty to repair it. Pay for any damages you cause yourself.
