Default 2017 clubman cooper s NM vs jb4 - 08-29-2017, 02:30 PM

I'm weighing my options and have narrowed it down to a piggyback like the dinan or nm module which give a +5 and +6 psi respectively, and the jb4 which looks to be +6 psi in map 2.

Will the jb4 make more power at the same psi? Anyone dyno them back to back to see?

I loved my jb4 on my n54 engine but it's a lot more cash and sounds like it's a bit more difficult to uninstall for service

All piggybacks will make very similar power at the same psi. They are all doing essentially the same thing, adding more boost. They do not have the ability to increase timing past stock values.

The JB4 (with optional flex fuel wires) and Dinan Elite also can raise fueling which will help give more a tad more power compared to units like NM or Dinan Sport.

CANbus is the real difference maker in terms of the quality of tuning the JB4 is able to provide....No other piggyback offers what the JB4 does.

I'm a real Fan of you guys, just looking for some hard numbers are we talking an extra 5 hp controlling timing? 10, 15 ? Is it just "smoother"?
