I need some instructions for dummy .
I cople questions about JB4 PI controller assembly.
First, instructions im page 1 says:
"Purple goes in the JB4 small gray subconnector #21 as read from the female side"
Doers this mean that side of subconnector where all wires are red?

And the blue wire from controller, that is going to stage 3 lpfp relay?

Hope You understand my poor English, and help me whit thease issues

edit:
My JB4 box is 2013, do I need new chip to JB4?

Blue wire is not used at this time.

Pin 21 as labeled on the stock female connector.

Yes, you will need the anti-lag chip.

Do you need to be on a particular version of firmware for this Steve? No joy here.

Not sure what you mean.

You have safety set to 3 and trigger set to 1?

So how does the second pump activate in LPFP if BMS JB4 TBI controller is not given that information? I dont use hobb's switch...

TBI controller? You mean PI controller? If so, that doesn't use a Hobbs switch and the Hobb's switch can be used to trigger the secondary pump.

Female 21/Male 8 on gray connector = same thing but adding more instruction just tends to confuse people.

Sorry, my bad, I mean PI controller. So I do not need a Hobb's switch because PI controller is trigger the secundary pump? (blue wire from controller)

Just got my BMS PI Controller this week, i was going over the wires and went thru this thread, I saw that Blue is not used at this time but didn't really see much details on the Orange wire. Do i need to tape that off or use it somewhere?

it depends on how you intend to trigger the secondary LPFP. If your using a hobb's switch then yeah tape it off.. if not connect to the 12V coming from the trunk

To simplify things, is there a wiring diagram drawn up for the BMS PI controller on the download page? I think that would clear up much of the confusion and keep you from answering the same questions over and over.

There no mention of the Blue Wire or the Orange wire. I read through most of the 46 pages in this thread and they were mentioned once or twice. It may be new or it may be something only with BMW PI controller.

Gets confusing as there are 2 different controllers (BMS and AIC), and then on the BMS some wire colors have changed or been added depending on vintage, and then 3 different applications for install (E N54, N55, F N55/S55).

Only one question about stage 3 LPFP, if I don't use Hobbs switch, how I get trigger to secundary pump?
Or is Hobbs switch the only way to trigger LPFP (secundary pump)?

As in, there was no option to be able to use meth and PI together when i initially installed (i was one of the early ones).

Now we are saying this can be done? So there must have been a firmware change for this to occur?

It's never suggested but it is possible. You have to turn off the meth safeties if the JB4 can't monitor the meth signal.

Yes, Meth safety is set to = 1.

Do you have a photo of how the wiring should look when running PI and Meth?

Meth safety would have to be set to 3 if there will be no feedback signal from the FSB.

Thinking about getting port injection and stage 2 LPFP. I still have stock turbos so I was wondering if I would even make any more power with it? Also, would running 100% E85 ruin my injectors?
