Overboosting issue -
05-18-2021, 01:30 AM
I keep getting kicked to map 4, doesn't do it all the time but when it does, its almost every time I go WOT. Happens in Map 1 and 5, all that I have tested. Recently purchased a used jb4 on a 2011 335i 6MT. ******* ******** and upgraded chargepipe running Arizona 91 octane. The LastSafety parameter is always 1. Could doing a BEF benefit my situation at all?

Check your wastegate....JB4 is not adding any WGDC and your boost is maxed out. Could be hitting the DP coupler or ???

Pardon me I'm pretty new to JB4, how can you tell that JB4 is not adding any WGDC? I will give the DP coupler a look as soon as possible. Should I be playing it safe for now in map 4? I just did a pump BEF today because I also recently installed a new clutch and SMFW so I could raise the idle a bit and delete my DP code, is this safe to do while I'm figuring this issue out or should I revert to stock flash until it's figured out? Thanks

A stuck wastegate won't matter what map you're on and it will hit max boost.
