Default Alpina B3 tuning issues - 07-10-2019, 10:58 PM

Hi all,

New to the forum, have an Alpina B3 which had FBO and decided I wanted more.

Added the MMP stage 3 twins as single can be defected here in Dubai (yes we do actually have modding laws here) port injection and upgraded fueling.

Had issues with my custom tune, so found out previous owner had not done the Tmap sensor change.

So I ordered mine from BMS and changed it, my questions is do you need to do the second one on the intake manifold as well?

Running MHD flash only I am a subi and AMG guy so turbo N54's are not my thing yet.

Only seeing 4 psi boost max and have terrible AFR's, I am sending the car to get a full check over by a second party, who didn't install the upgrades to check if any errors were made.
But is there anything else I should look for mechanically as my tuner is doing his best but I am sure there is something causing this and he is a highly rated tuner here on these forums.

Sorry for the long post, have all the toys and no go...

Hi mate and welcome to the platform.

You only need the TMAP on the charge pipe, not the on the intake,

For the 4 PSI and afr I'm not so sure what could be but you really need to read if any stored errors and try to get logs to know what's going on.

So here are a couple of logs from today, now I get fault codes:
2ABD boost pressure sensor overrun
2D2E throttle valve angle intake manifold vacuum correlation
2DED power management, closed circuit current violation.

Any ideas?

Do you have a JB4 / BEF CSV or log for us to review?

No, no JB4

Considering getting one, as car came with flash only tune.

Didnt know that they were compatible till the lasf week, all my other platforms are either flash or aftermarket ecu. Like Haltech.

Best of both worlds (JB4 + bef )

We generally only review JB4 logs- feel free to leave the post, but you might get a bit more insight on some of the other more flash only dedicated sites.
