Why did the AFR value went up after updating to the ISO firmware and how can I lower it?

Your AFR seems normal in your log for the stock flash. If you want to adjust the AFR load up our back end flash map.

The problem is not while accelerating, it is while ideling the AFR values are changing like crazy there jumping from 13.0 to above 15.0 while the car in parked or neutral

Terry, Still throwing the same code as before and popping the Drivetrain Malfunction. Code seems completely random, can't pinpoint it happening. The Drivetrain Malfunction happens when the motor lugs and then tries to downshift.

I'll try to get another log tonight, but theres a huge police presence today, so no promises.

Terry, here are a couple logs with the slow CANbus off so normal CANbus, one 3rd gear and one shifting.

To get the MHD license you’ll have to contact MHD, they’ll send a link for you to download the app and flash map 0 then you have to contact terry and he will provide the BEF for you

Guys,
Going to try the ISO and cut the diode tomorrow to see if it fix the over boosting.
Is t9 the latest one right?
Also, can someone tell me if everything else beside over boosting seems good on my old firmware. Thanks.

Got a log. Car threw a Drivetrain Malfunction right after I shut it off, threw the low boost code again. Also, for whatever reason, the JB4Mobile isn't showing Trans Temp anymore, which is really weird because it did this afternoon.

Trans temp is removed for the time being, we'll bring it back later.

Your boost is no where near target. PID gain should be 25, you set it to 10. And raise FF to 120. And keep raising it until boost hits target.

150. Could be some sort of bug also as FF is above PWM, but boost is below target. So that is strange. Let's see how pidgain = 25 looks. I'll double check the code to see if I can find any possibility for a bug like that.

Hi guys

Any feedback on iso 9 with regards to 4psi at idle and afr spiking from 15-29. Also ecu psi spikes to like 25 psi 2000-4000 rpm when i attempt a 3rd gear log. Get knocking errors and upper boost pressure errors. Im running stock turbo, bms intake, **, c/pipe, 95 octane on my f30 335i pwg. All settings as default, ff adapted to 143, 6 cyl at 10.

I think there were also some people throwing low boost codes who had the 0-6 cyl timing value set too low since it now relates the throttle aggressiveness. They raised it to between 20-40 and had good success. Check this thread on page 15 ish if I remember.

Lamz, here is an excerpt from the logging parameters and their meaning...concerning AFR that is!
AFR: The AFR (Air Fuel Ratio in Lbs air/ Lbs gasoline fuel) trend displays the higher (leaner of the two
banks of three cylinders.... cylinders 1>3 or cylinders 4>6. Typical values are 15:1 at light engine
loads decreasing to around 12.5:1 under heavy engine loads and high rpm.
Note: It is normal to have the AFR display 20:1 when car is coasting in gear or under a heave
misfiring condition as the DME will cut off fuel to either the misfiring cylinder(s) or all cylinders if
coasting.

zole: Did you notice a difference with the slow speed turned off?

I'd really like to get map 5 going and if I can turn it off and it works, then I will try it

Thanks. Was concerned that with boost sitting at 4psi when the car is parked that turbo is going to be stressed for no reason. Tben building boost from 4 instead of 0 will cause overboost in the lower rev range. I have reverted to fw 17/12 for now.

Literally just sitting there, the boost reads 4PSI? is it captured in a log? That's kinda weird...
