Directions for those upgrading from a Stage1 system to a JB4 system using the upgrade kit:

1) Disconnect the negative battery terminal in the trunk.
2) We're going to remove the back shell from the Stage1 AMP connector and insert two more wires in to the Stage1 harness. For those who currently have a methanol kit installed the wiring will also need to be relocated. The tricky part is that the wires can not be removed without a special DSUB removal tool so it's best to cut and splice them as needed. Reinstall the shell when complete.

JB4 wiring:

Green CAN wire goes in to pin 2
Brown CAN wire goes in to pin 15

If also using methanol:

FSB orange wire goes in to pin 3
FSB blue wire goes in to pin 16

Also note the add on flex fuel wiring positions are per the N55 guide. The male flex fuel pin goes to spot #21 on the DB25 while the female (sensor side) wire plugs in to spot #4 if empty or if not is spliced in to the green wires going to spots 4&17. Review the N55 flex fuel install guide for additional information.

3) Using a screwdriver push in the rubber cap towards the passenger compartment. This is where the OBDII cable will be routed.

4) Using a hanger or wire fish the OBDII cable from the interior cabin through the firewall. More photos needed for this step.

5) Using the included wire nuts connect the CANbus wires you've installed in to the DB25 connector to the OBDII cable wires.

6) Plug the OBDII connector in and route the wiring behind the panels.

7) Switch the JB4 circuit board for the previous Stage1 circuit board. They fit in the same enclosure. This might also be a good opportunity to upgrade to our latest billet all-weather enclosure:

8) Reconnect the battery.
