Nothing changes. If you replace a failed OE gasket and replace it with the same one....expect similar life expectancy. It's not likely they didn't torque things down correctly from factory to cause premature failure. Although I am sure its happened, just not very common.
In some cases, gaskets have been updated, similar to revisions on injectors for N54, but it is what it is.
