That’s the right place, so be sure everything is seated and connected well. If you still have problems then make sure your wires aren’t overheating and contacting. Mine were too close to the exhaust manifold and melted.

If that is not your issue then with the harness connected get a voltmeter and check the signal the EWG pins give out at idle. You will have to remove the pins from the JB4 amp connector which requires a dsub removal tool. PITA.
