Basically the Walbro has a higher amp draw which generates excessive heat. Causes the signal from the EKP to be compromised, ECU then shuts off both pumps and ignition. Once the EKP module cools off after 5-10 min car starts and drives again. Until heat builds up, repeat cycle.
Its located in trunk near gas filler. Peal side cloth aside and you see it mounted on inside. It has a metal plate for heat sink. Mount the new one on a heat sink with fins. I used a 4x4" aluminum heat sink. Have had zero issues since.
No issues with the OEM pump installed. Logs look good too, seems that the factory pump is supplying enough fuel for my setup on PS2 + PI on E40. I didn't even need an upgraded pump. Of course I have boost turned down in upper RPMs because it tapers and I don't want to run at 100% WGDC.
