The N54 and early N55 pumps are stronger than the standard N55 HDP5. The B58 plunger style pump won't fit to replace those rotary style ones.

The S55 pump is an HDP5 pump. I suspect it's equivalent to the N55 pump, thus the need to use two of them on the S55.
