You're going to need a lot more than bearings and a head gasket if you tear the motor apart. But either way I wouldn't just slap bearings on.

Find another used motor

Long story short, I had to replace my engine. Previous owner did the majority of the modifications including a fuel it throttle body injection kit which is my guess for where this ghetto wiring comes...

Not at all, crankshaft stays in the engine. It's about the same as an oil pan gasket job, as long as you can drop the pan you can gain access to the rod bolts and then the bearings.

Maybe an oil analysis? Or if you're really pro-active maybe replace the rod bearings? I suspect increased bearing wear on cars that are really being pushed. I could be wrong but for ~$150 in parts...

They sell kits for it but there's probably $75-100 worth of bull**** you don't need.
