Thanks for the feedback. I really like the German build quality but you are right that there are alternatives. This will not be a daily driver so I'm willing to put up with some of those tradeoffs.

Yes, this posted log was my 4th or 5th WOT pull that night. I noticed my avg ignition started at 3.1 on the first pull and crept up on subsequent pulls. It stabilized on 4.6 and stayed there.
