I've not found that to be the case with the N54. Perhaps it's the DI, high CR, or what ever else, but you can detonate and kill motors on e85 even without a kill mode tune.

YMMV

While the 335i only has one low pressure pump, it used suction on the other side to pump fuel from the driver's side saddle to the passenger side saddle.

I had a key stolen, so I'm afraid of someone stealing my car (again).

If I order new (different keys), can the dealer program the keys in the CAS, or does the DME and CSS need to be reprogrammed?

I haven't seen their kit in person, but it should fit any brake kit as they all use the same sized lines. The line lock is just solenoid that goes in series in the brake line. Doesn't affect brake...

I've tried everything (timing, boost, AFR, Vanos, octane, different E percentages). By knock, I should say single cylinder DME timing corrections, which we treat as knock when tuning the N54 (we...

Ditto, I've had all three. NT05R have horrible traction for a DR. They last the longest by far and are OK in the rain.

Hoosier DOT DR 2 is amazing. It also lasted like 500 miles, lol!

I have two findings:

The IAT gauge shows the unit causing the numbers to be squished. The other temp gauges hide the unit (e.g. water, oil). It would be better and more consistent to not show the...

Unfortunately, that is all speculation at this point. As of now, there is no proven solution. Based on that, I wouldn't recommend buying a car based on hopes. Look at the N55 people :brokenheart:

I wouldn't chance it. Even at 20psi, you're likely out of fuel.

Why go all-out for at turbo kit, but skip the needed fueling? It's just another $2k for PI and LPFP (and is mandatory IMO).

If it uses boost-referenced EWG like nearly all kits, it should work the same (with dialing-in base duty cycle per the instructions in the first posts).

In my experience, 23psi on a good sized turbo is 650whp or so, which is too much for DI alone on ethanol (fuel volume and octane). You need twin LPFPs and PI (or meth).

You can always run race gas...

Also insist on a compression test and to see the results. If they don't want to spend $200, then they lost a sale.

I don't know about that. At 30psi (750whp range) there is definitely knock, even with moderate (4-7 degrees) timing and full e85. At least in my experience tuning this car, we aren't miles away from...

How often do you do a compression test and what were you last numbers?

I do one at least monthly, and you'd be surprised. You can have very low compression in one hole but it feels fine.
