From the burgertuning website, the installation notes applies for N54 and N55... Should I follow the N55?

Yup, read that.

Question is if the obd cable (upgrade) will be the same for ewg and pwg cars... This is because I will be coming to the states in December, and probably will want to grab that...

Do you even know if u have an EWG or PWG car?
