So then the lid itself is the restriction. Interesting. Kinda makes me wonder why GM went the upside down blower route like the LSA/LS9, instead of the upright route like the old 3800, the Hellcat...

Hum.......That a bigger plenum makes more power suggests that theres a restriction upstream of it. What is it is the question? Is it the intake system, the throttle body or the compressor itself (the...

I still think the inferior gas has to shoulder a lot of the blame. GM/SAE power testing is done on 93 octane, and California gets 91 or 92 at best. Thats 2.5-3 of knock retard, cutting boost and...

553 when its rated at 650? Seems to be some power missing there. Thats like a 15% drivetrain loss. GM hasn't lost that much though their rear drive automatics since the old 4L60e (16%). We were...

Haven't dealt with them since the 4th Gen F-Body's, but yeah, they were known as Dyno queens. Could make tons of power, but it didn't mean faster track times.

I bet if you used a Whipple or Kenne...

Prochargers suck. Like Vortechs, they make numbers but no performance. If you're gonna be supercharged, positive displacement is the only way to go, twin screw is greatly preferred over roots. If you...

If they'd give a discount like yours I would seriously consider it. Unfortunately that was a $96.4k car, and $90k is as low as they'll go. Too rich for my blood when I'm looking for a house. :(
