Sounds like a misfire. When it happens, pull over, shut off the car, restart, and it should drive like normal.

Read the code and it should help diagnose.

I had an leaky injector on cylinder 6 (which I why I replaced the injectors 15k ago) and those symptoms are nothing like this....

I had the same exact issue. The heat shield is somewhat hollow inside, so it will hold a fair amount of oil and it will continue to seep out for awhile even after replacing the valve cover gasket....

Silicon works great, that's the go to choice for replacing the vacuum lines. I'd recommend replacing all of the vacuum lines.
