I am sure with the JB we will be able to go high elevens for sure. |

Don't have fuel control running yet, but at 4psi over stock, with 5 gallons of E85 added to 91, times are improving. :)
I also found it runs quicker short shifting around 6000rpm than riding it out to redline. Typical of undersized turbos. |
Thanks for the update? Any ballpark idea when you think we can get our hands on these?
Thanks, Jason |
Hopefully a few weeks. Going to finalize the wiring harness later today so we can get going on that production, while I continue working on the firmware and mapping.

Thanks for the updates!

RS5 is twin engine shared with new RS4, Porsche Panamera S and new Cayenne S. Sensors are shared with S4 so most likely the same unit with a different tune will be compatible to these.:burnrubber: |
Yeah my bad on that comment. Shows how little research I did before buying this one. I went to dealership for something else but saw this and jumped on it. I did not imagine the tuning potential for this car would be this limited. I am hoping for the best!

I hope something makes sense.. LOL
I really like the car, just need it to be a decent amount faster. |
The turbo is easy to reach, so I'm sure we'll see movement on that end once the tuning is sorted.

new to the forum, just signed up as I noticed a lot more tuning conversation for the B9 S4 here then in audiworld or audizine, seems odd posting on a BMW forum though...
Anyways, really looking forward to the JB4, it seems ECU tunes on the newer platforms is either coming very slow, or maybe not at all. Hoping for some before/after dyno comparisons soon. It's sounding more and more like turbo upgrades required to make big hp. |
just checked up on tuning on the Audi forum for the b9 s4. good to see bms on it. we had a n55 335 and loved what the jb4 did for costs and simplicity in aspect. I hope to see the same here Terry. I don't live far from you and hope to see you out at fontana once you dial in some fuel. I have my 09 CTS-V I just can't seem to sell because of my love for it. it is flexfuel enabled and makes 800 whp in daily form and 1150 whp in track form . I hope that the S4 and V can share a drink from the same well.
keep up the good work. |
any updates Terry?

Just waiting for production harnesses and boards to come in, and we'll start to hunt down some test cars. :)
|

|
Looking forward to this when ready

I'm picking up my S5 SB here in Canada this week. Let me know if you need someone to test up here in the cold ;)
|
need a tester for B9 SQ5? in San Francisco
|
Hopefully get this soon!
|
update? :)
|
Still waiting for the production harnesses. The JB4 SENT board itself is working well. Although every couple of days I'll get a false alarm fault code for one of the sensor outputs so I need to dig in to that.
Getting closer. But, new F series BMW stuff has been dominating development time lately. That should wrap up soon. |
