E series to F series N55 engine transplant help needed

1 Attachment(s)
Hello everybody,

My second car an M235i had a blown engine. We swapped the engine to an E type n55 engine.
Has anybody experience with this swap?
We kept the vacuum fuel pump from my original engine (f type) and now the chain guide has broken for a second time in 3000 miles. Could this be related?

Thanks very much, please look at the pictures.

JacquesN55 swapped an F series engjne into his E series I'm pretty certain.
He's currently working on a custom turbo setup.
Maybe PM him.

Did you ever figure out what caused the issue?

Thanks. I remember you did the swap. Just wondering if the op figured out what was causing his issue.

JacquesN55, how did you handle the difference in fuel pumps? I'm about to return a 2015 N55 with the Bosch fuel pump because I'm not sure swapping the Continental fuel pump is possible in my 2011 335i xdrive due to the difference in vacuum pump chain tensioners?
