It may just be limiting the bandwidth enough to cause problems there.

M5 f10 support needed

Thanks for a great product. |
It would be great to have the option of turning off Active Sound with OEM exhaust flap operation! That's the only thing holding me back from buying.
It was added to the latest firmware but you do need a bms data cable to load it.

F13 supported yet?...
No we don't have the exhaust flap CANbus commands for the F10 and related models.
Hey Terry, will you guys add data logging to this module, plus gauges with jb4 mobile app for people who don't want a tune on their new car but still want logging an gauges? Also is there a "trade in" option. For example for those who don't want a tune for the time being could run this to control exhaust flaps, and when they're ready they could trade this unit in for some credit towards a jb4?
No plans to do that at this time.
If you want to datalog on stock tuning use a JB4 but on map4 (stock tuning, CANbus logging active). |

What we offer is what we offer. Pick the option that best suites your specific needs.
Ok Terry, I respect that. But hopefully you guys start making more exhausts as they honestly no joke sound fricken amazing.
Can I clarify post 155? Was it active sound delete in oem flap operation that was added by the firmware update? Which option is that in the menu? Thanks!
With the update posted active sound mute valves closed also applies to valves OEM. That selection is not in the production firmware and would have to be uploaded to the CT to enable.
Real faults still show a light in dash with auto clear mode on.
Lowon has a point. Some people have flash tunes and have no real way to log. It'd be another selling point if the obd2 canbus module had logging capabilities just my 2cents.
We could certainly do it but would not be able to sell it for $279 then as it's quite a bit of work. One option for you would be to buy an N55 EWG JB4 for $529 and then install TMAP and OBDII only to allow use of it as a logger / CANflap control only. But you're really better off just taking the extra 10 min to install a JB4 so you can adjust the tuning if you see something you don't like in the flash logs.
The thing Is already have a obd2 canbus module and my flash tune was a legitimate dyno tune for my setup, is it possible for those that want it to pay more for the feature?
Sure but the economics are not great on that. Say it takes $8000 in engineering time to make the change. How do you divide that among the ~10-15 people who would want/use the feature? :)
Woaah it takes that much (hypothetically). I'm sure most flash tuners or users would like to opt for it in order to make sure the car is dialed in.
Can I buy one too?
I guess if you guys can get ~50 separate customers to post in here that they'd buy a CAN Tool (for $279) if it had logging included then we can work on that firmware for you. Obviously in addition to the CAN Tool you'd need a BMS DATA cable to connect to the device/laptop for the logging itself.
Can they post on bimmerpost? All the flash tuners are there n54tech is mainly full of jb4 users. Can we use the Bluetooth cable instead of the data cable? It makes this even cheaper than the p3car gauge which is another selling point.
They'd have to post here. Not a bimmerpost fan. :)
Blue tooth adapter would be compatible. |
