Transmission Wrench Code P0236
 

Hi all,

Got my JB4 today for my 2015 3.5 ecoboost f150. Getting the code p0236 with the install and cannot connect with Bluetooth and mobile app.

After searching the other threads it looks like 2 other people had the same issue intermittently with their Raptors. I disconnected the sensors and codes were gone on restart. Cleared all codes with a code reader. Re installed the JB4 sensors brown on the front multicolored wires on the rear both times.

Locked doors and let sit for 30 minutes hoping the codes would go away.
They did not and I got more codes the engine will hardly idle.

I am sending a support email and will update tread with resolution.

Codes are not exact phrases but close

P0098 Intake Air Temperature Sensor 2 Circuit High Bank 1
P0238 Turbocharger Sensor A Circuit High
P0108 Manifold Absolute Pressure Circuit High
P0238 Turbo Boost Sensor A high

The code just means there is an issue with the sensor connection. First step would be to send installation photos, and to open the enclosure and check for any loose wires. Sometimes people knock wires loose when adding in the blue tooth kit.

Terry found the issue right away. A ground wire in the JB4 connector was lose.
Everything is working as expected.
