THIS PART IS LEGAL FOR USE ONLY IN COMPETITION RACING VEHICLES AS DEFINED UNDER CALIFORNIA LAW, AND IS NOT LEGAL FOR USE IN ANY OTHER MOTOR VEHICLE. California law defines a "racing vehicle" as "a competition vehicle not used on public highways." (Calif. Health & Safety Code 39048) This part may only be used on competition racing vehicles operated exclusively on a closed course in conjunction with a sanctioned racing event. Competition-only motor vehicles may not be driven to a racing event on a public highway and must be transported on a trailer or other carrier. USE OF THIS PART IN ANY OTHER VEHICLE MAY SUBJECT YOU TO FINES AND PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION OF FEDERAL AND/OR STATE LAW, WILL VOID YOUR WARRANTY FROM BURGER MOTORSPORTS, INC, AND CAN VOID YOUR VEHICLE'S WARRANTY. It is your responsibility to comply with all applicable federal and state laws relating to use of this part, and Burger Motorsports, Inc hereby disclaims any liability resulting from the failure to use this part in compliance with all applicable federal and state laws.

Installation is the same as the n63 connecting to each TMAP sensor on the intercooler and running the OBDII cable under the dash. Additionally the MAF connectors (on the to of the engine) must be unplugged for the n63tu JB4 to function properly. As a result you'll have a check engine light on in dash full time. Those outside the USA can use the "passive delete" option under WMI to have this fault reset every time you start the car. V2 systems now also include optional built in BCM connections which can be used for cars on WMI running higher boost levels.

Dyno Testing:

3/17/17: New n63tu dyno record here! http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showpo...1&postcount=28
5/1/17: Broke the 600whp barrier! Yet another n63tu record: http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showpo...1&postcount=64

Hey guys,

Had a chance to get our new development 550 on the dyno for a little TU JB4 dyno testing. In it's current trim the car has our prototype intake system, 35% E85, and a prototype JB4 that attaches to the TMAP connectors, CANbus, and fuel pressure connectors. We do not have a boost control module functional yet. Mainly, because those connectors are impossible to reach. The JB4 also requires you to run the car with the MAF sensors unplugged, we'll be evaluating that in the future to see if there is a work around.

Anyway the tuning potential is undeniable. Over 100whp gained stock boost vs. tuned boost. I'll add some logs to the thread later of both trims. If we could get the BCM going there would be another 40-50whp in here easily I think. We'll keep working on it.

Map0: JB4 disabled
Map1: Additive map, up to 5psi requested over stock
Map2: Absolute map, 19psi peak
Map3: Absolute map, 18psi peak
Map4: Stock with CANbus active for logging and in dash gauges

Looking forward to this! 2013 750li n63tu, I want in on this! I thought you all forgot about the TU

padrino 02-24-2017 06:50 AM

Looking forward to it! 2016 750xi here, love the potential this engine has for tuning

Pure Turbos 02-24-2017 11:52 AM

Sweet! Nice work! Huge gains per $ !

Did you find any limitations on the top end? Turbos or HPFP or Octane?

m123 02-24-2017 12:03 PM

Great work

The torque is insane while driving.
Need new tires. Spinning in 3rd on the highway.

Hell yea. I want a ride tomorrow!

Slo7 02-24-2017 02:29 PM

UPDATES! lol, I know she has a lot more left in her! Nice work!

Terry @ BMS 02-24-2017 03:34 PM

I hope the trans holds! lol. If only we could reach that 2nd boost solenoid there is another 50hp at our fingertips. I guess worst case might be to make the BCM posi-tap installed somehow for the really hardcore guys.

the trans can hold torque more than the f10 m5

Heard this before as well? Wonder how true this is? 🤔

Seen a FBO 2014 550xi Flash Tuned & was beating on M5 Competition Pkg w/ BMS stag1 in a quick roll-race

That's sick! I know these motors have tons of potential!

Is there a time frame when the JB4 will come out for the 550I?

Where exactly are those solenoids? If the "hardcore guys" are anything like me, they'd rather do some disassembly for access than use posi taps.

We'll post more info on adding a BCM to the n63tu once we're further along in development.

535_BiTurbo 03-03-2017 03:33 PM

NICE GAINS! your N63 and N63tu baselines are very close 408/407hp and 456/466tq...
Once you added the JB4, Do you think your prototype intake played a major role in the huge power and tq spread vs the N63's dyno?

kokoN63TU 03-03-2017 05:52 PM

great news !!!!!
i have 2013 bmw 750i
stage 1 flash tune
8.0 sec 100-200 kmh (62-124 mile) race logic
cant wait to add jb4 to gain some power

Terry @ BMS 03-03-2017 05:58 PM

We're not yet sure to what degree the intake has added performance. We're waiting for the next revision and then will dyno it vs. stock. Unfortunately, it's the height of our busy season, and with so many projects under development, there is little time to go around. We'll get it done though.

kokoN63TU 03-03-2017 06:05 PM

Can wait
Good luck
Interesting what we can do with back and flash + jb4 on n63tu engine
Now I'm producing
499 whp on dyno mustang
And 78 kgm

Meth injections
30% e85
And some logs and tune with the jb4
I thing it will be a huge difference

Got a picture or graph?

kokoN63TU 03-03-2017 06:38 PM

Yes but it's on my phone not on my pc
And sorry but I don't know how to upload pics from my phone here/:

Hum..... gotta do some research on the 550/750 xDrive system. A 700hp+ 750LiX would be awesome. B7, S8 Plus and S65 killer.

EDIT: That was easy. All BMW cars, from the 1 series to the F02 B7, use the same ATC35 transfer case. The X5/X6 use the ATC45 (or ATC700 for the M's). So its the 8HP70Z, ATC35 combo. Should be pretty safe, up to the driveshaft at least.

BTW Terry, Did you ever find out about that 550 that was losing power with the **? Its been a while, but I think it was cutting boost or something above 4000rpm? I'm going to assume this fixes that?

jandraos 03-06-2017 01:04 AM

Terry,

Will the BMS prototype intake system fit on the Straight N63 or non TU, if so when do you expect release date?
