I hope it will work for a 2014 X5 50I too.... and i am in the hardcore group, so ready to test and help with the development.

Was able to strap it down with the BCM installed and I'm very impressed with the factory turbo performance. Made a drama free 570whp on E35 fuel. Still no meth, no exhaust mods, etc.
The only drawback with the BCM is you need to cut an OEM wire to install it. It will likely remain an optional part of the n63tu JB4 system, but if you're looking for big gains, it made a huge difference. So much so that we are maxing out the factory 2.5bar TMAP sensors. Fortunately the JB4 can run 3.5bar TMAP sensors. We'll be swapping over soon. :) https://www.instagram.com/p/BRwTYHwA0-1/ |
Ooh..... cutting a wire kinda knocks out the casuals and the leases. There's no other possible way to do it? Maybe a harness extension that plugs in and has the necessary wire connected where it needs to go instead of straight through?
|
Nope, cutting a DME wire is the only viable method. It will weed out the boys from the men. :) You can always reconnect it later to go back to stock as its not in a particularly visible spot.

You could always pull the contacts out of the connector housing and insert tap connections at the DME like this:
Attachment 60904 I think this is still only for hard-core guys since extracting the old contacts and inserting new ones into the connector housing takes a some intricate work (I built a custom tool to help with it) and if you're not delicate when extracting the contacts the housing could easily be damaged, but it does eliminate the need to cut wires. |
Very impressive numbers
I will happy to see the results on the road on real time 100-200 time for example |

There is no easy way to remove the contacts from the DME connector. You could cut the wire and crimp on contacts to make a connection like about. It's just one wire we need to intercept.

Nice numbers guys, needs a lsd now. Then try the 1/2 mile again

Waiting so hard to order the jb4! Hope its available soon!
