Dyno Results: 694whp & 693wtq
Drag Results: Best so far: 10.4@135mph JB4, map3, race gas mix. 2.70s 0-60 lol.

Map Guide as of v3 firmware:

Map 0: Stock operation, JB4 disabled
Map 1: Default performance map, 4psi peak request over stock
Map 2: 22psi absolute boost profile, 93 octane OK. For competition packages cars and/or in warm/higher elevation climates map1 might out perform map2.
Map 3: 25psi absolute boost profile, requires higher octane like unleaded racing fuel
Map 4: Low boost VALET map -- Ideal for when "friends" are driving your car
Map 5: 26psi absolute boost profile, requires unleaded racing fuel
Map 7: 27psi absolute boost profile, requires unleaded racing fuel
Map 8: water/meth progressive map -- under development

Firmware
Click on firmware file at bottom of this post to download.

JB4_F90_4:

1) Redesigned boost by gear system. Boost in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear now represents the amount of boost to subtract from the boost target. This allows you to set boost lower than stock when slippery track conditions dictate. When using launch mode of the car "bogs" shortly after the launch reduce boost in 1st gear until you're able to get a clean launch. :burnrubber:
T1) Adjustments to FF under absolute target maps to improve boost targeting.

JB4_F90_S63TU_3_T2:

1) Adjusted map1 to peak request of 4psi over stock, to match new BMS Stage1 mapping. Making Stage1 and JB4 map1 effectively similar tuning.
2) Reworked the code reading function so codes are properly read from both ECU's independently. May require interface update to work properly, if you have problems reading codes with this update, contact Donnie for the BETA JB4 Mobile interface.
3) Added higher boost map5 @ 26psi peak, and map7 @ 27psi peak, for those looking to push records on straight MS109 racing fuel.

JB4_F90_S63TU_3:

1) Revised boost mapping to improve partial throttle smoothness on absolute target maps 2 & 3.
2) Adjusted map4 to an 8psi VALET map. Perfect for when you want to save gas or lend the car to "friends". :lol
3) Revised boost by gear logic for improved performance. You can now target boost below the factory target if desired.
4) Wastegate control logical change to improve boost targeting during runs with multiple shifts, like 1/4 mile runs.
TEST2: Fixed some minor bugs with TEST1 on partial throttle control
TEST3: Further low throttle refinement

60-130mph and 100-200km/h run post by DME Tuning on stock car

Ando @ BMS 03-29-2018 09:00 AM

Really excited about this car. Hopefully there is more left in it.
That blue is super nice.

Hey guys,

Mo @ DME Tuning sent over a fresh dyno from their new F90 M5 Development car. Overall, looks strong, although we're a little concerned with the AFR. We'll need to better evaluate that as we start to dial up boost. The platform is EWG based so I envision designing a new JB4 system for it with dual bank boost, fuel, and EWG control, at a minimum. Being so strong from the factory I wonder how much tuning potential they left for us. 700awhp would be amazing.

BMS has a car on order that is currently on the water, so probably a few weeks out. I was hoping to have it a few days before SS to rig up a tuner and race it but the timing is in question now. Will update the thread when we have it.

Should look nice in the garage next to our 775whp 2015 M5.

+1 another shop got a similar 60-130 time on another forum, but I expect it go go mid-7s as well. Thing is moving for sure, and that's before mods lol

Afr’s look like b58 afrs. Are they using new dme types or same as f10 m5?

luchocamp 03-30-2018 06:10 AM

Great numbers stock !

It's a new DME I have heard. I would think the AWD is cutting out some of that top end power that we have been enjoying in the F10/F13

Will update the thread when we have it. Our development car is Marina Bay Blue, white interior, and M Drivers Package for the speed limiter change. MSRP with the gas guzzler tax and destination is $107,095.

Should look nice in the garage next to our 775whp 2015 M5. :)

Terry here's another AWD/RWD Mustang DYNO reference point;

What app is that?

Bushidopupil 04-07-2018 03:12 PM

Terry,
When your car arrives will it be run on the same dyno as the graph you posted for comparison?

Terry @ BMS 04-07-2018 03:33 PM

No, Mo is across the country.

Gotcha! Just coming back to the BMW scene. The M5 will be my next vehicle. Can't wait to see what you can squeeze out of her.

the AFR of the new M5 about 15, i don't think it's safe to push more boost, need a flash

Terry,

What are your thoughts on this.

Terry @ BMS 04-08-2018 09:39 AM

I'm less interested with the dynos floating around and looking forward to some more 60-130 and 1/4 mile results. But seems like 600whp stock is plausible. And hopefully, 700whp JB4 tuned is doable. :) Would be enough for mid 10s in a well launching setup.

Bushidopupil 04-08-2018 09:47 AM

Good, that is what I'm shooting for, a solid 10.5 DD. Eagerly looking forward to your test results.

sheharyar_rr 04-08-2018 09:43 PM

Can't wait for the tuning to begin. Whats the ETA on the test car?

Terry @ BMS 04-09-2018 08:51 AM

Looking like early May. Boat was delayed for some reason.

On the plus side, a special order was the only way to get no options but the speed limiter raised. So will be worth the wait. :)

Bushidopupil 04-14-2018 11:19 AM

Jay Lane from Sewell BMW in TX posted this time slip on FB today. WannaGofast Half mile event. Impressive!!
2018 BMW M5
Speed 154.5330mph

Iíll post the picture of the slip when I can get to my desktop.

Terry @ BMS 04-14-2018 11:38 AM

Not bad for a stock car in the 1/2 mile. Hopefully with mods, 165mph+

Bushidopupil 04-14-2018 01:31 PM

Updated time 155.7094mph. That’s amazing for stock in my opinion. You can see the other slips by looking at his FB page.
