Hey guys,

We have been thinking of making an intake system for the M3/4s and finally it's time to say we are getting close to releasing the product in the next 4-6 weeks. This is going to be affordable for everyone and won't have the M tax on it.
I am not going to say much now, just enjoy the sound clip (intake in the video is prototype, released version will look different)

It's a work in progress but looks promising. We're evaluating the filter options currently and will post some updated photos once those are finalized.

any gains to be expected?

We've done some fairly extensive testing now with various prototypes and I'm pretty confident saying that on OEM turbos at least, gains are minimal. Around 5-8whp at very high rpm. The OEM intake flows very well up to around 525whp. For larger turbos we may see a little more.

Any intake company claiming significant gains on OEM turbos are just gaming the dyno runs to make it appear their intake added power. Dinan offering an intake and claiming "software changes" are required for it is outright ridiculous. I suspect they just change their tune from 3psi over stock to 4psi over stock and then attribute that gain from higher boost to their intake.

This is exactly why I like Terry and crew. He tells the truth about real gains. On past cars (n54, n55, n63), he has been quite truthful and correct about what I might see and what is the best bang for the buck.

Having said, that, as soon as it is out I will take a look, although I literally just ordered the K/N. I am usually late to the party

The sound this intake makes is addictive. This intake has completely changed the way I drive the car. I enjoy the car way more now.

The first production batch is being made now. When we have them ready to ship, we'll let you guys know. :)

Good to know. How involved is the install?

I would assume it wouldn't take more then 30 minutes to install.
Should be fairly easy. We will have a install video made when intake is released.

all I hear are crickets ;) some of us have nothing better to do than stare at this thread all day. .... any news? timelines? better pictures or video? dyno numbers (if it does help with HP)

They are still under production. When we have them we'll throw up some photos.

What about BMS *** and maybe even full exhaust? �� I really like how BMS doesn't tax their parts like other companies

We are getting closer. Rough estimate 2-3 weeks.

Will be doing final intake test fitting tomorrow and if it fits and looks the way we want it to it shouldn't be much longer before it's released :happy

can't wait.... how's the performance on dyno ?? coz seem many aftermarket intake system make car less power after installed

Power is like stock, with around 5hp more at redline. None of the intakes will make much power on this platform with OEM turbos. With larger turbos we're hoping for a little more. We'll see soon enough. :)
