We used it to do some testing on hybrid turbos. Yes it will run out of fuel with this and implode the turbo most likely. Dont use it.

I was very patient awaiting firmware update that was supposed to fix issues with launch control in lifted versions of MQB platform. As far as I can see you are focused on expanding to new platforms instead of bugfixing existing problems. Maybe its high time to switch to RaceChip, where LC _DOES_ work.

If you got a issue with LC on a Facelift car email me. Changing the boost profile at 6000rpm plus seems to have sorted the issue for most cars we have tried.
As far as I am aware the gearshift issues exists with all piggy back units and some flashes like APR had the issue initially too.

George, I've hacked calibration accordingly to your instructions sent over email and the results are sub-optimal. I'm getting my butt dragged by any RaceChip piggy-backer out there. I have those issues on all maps. Outside LC everything is perfect. Its just LC that misbehaves. What can we do about it?

Whatever your map 6 is change the following.

6000 3
6500 2
7000 1

Max boost 1st 3 on latest software.

Seems to be working for everyone now.

I am also having problems with launch control on my s3 facelift.
On 1st gear even when I put max boost to 3 psi, the car launches very weak staying a lot on 4500-7000 and my 0-100 times are slower than when I limit 1st gear to 0.1.

The problem the previous user mentioned was on the gearshifts.

Have the proposed firmware installed and am really excited. I have never moved the car so clean and agile. Good tip George.
If you are not satisfied with the jb4 you have to throw the racechip into the room. You can not compare that in any way. The uneven acceleration and the partially delayed response were not worth the clean lc start.
In addition, we are talking about 2 different performance categories! I do not have seen a race chip under 10sec. 100-200, if you know what you're doing you can do it with the Jb4.

Nothing but great things to say about my JB4 on my MK6 Jetta. Awesome cost effective performance and being able to log and dial in Map 6 to your own vehicle is huge. Especially being able to email George and get a quick response without charging for support. Waiting on the new firmware (also no charge) but the current is stable for me. Folks getting impatient must have never developed software or firmware... All in good time! We’re in good hands with George and crew.

Was just saying that the delay in a new firmware release isn’t necessarily because they’ve already got our money and are focusing on other platforms instead of releasing something for the MK6 line. While they are working on those, there is a lot of coding, testing, repeating to get this stuff right for existing customers’ setups as well.

It’s basically an OTS setup whether Map1-2 or Map 6. Plus or minus a psi or 2 on a specific curve is not exactly dyno tuning. Not saying it’s easy by any means but an engine that’s been out for many years and hundreds of logs from people requesting MAP 6s is probably a good portion of current research. Look how active the other forums are.

The over all hyperbole of my statement comes with a grain of salt, but let’s be real, we aren’t exactly high priority. I understand the market and trying to become relevant across different brands, but last month, a new firm ware was announced and now it’s silence in regards to that.

We trying to kill a few birds with one stone. There are few niggles that some cars are showing that need to be sorted out.
In other news the translation of the faults has been completed so the faults will appear with translations on the next app updates.
