Mild Pure Stage2 N54 dyno

Hey guys,

Had a chance to see how our E92 is running in its latest incarnation as a mild hybrid turbo setup.

Setup:
JB4, off the shelf E85 hybrid back end flash map
Manual trans w/ steel flywheel and 335is/550 clutch
Pure Stage2 turbos w/ silicon inlets
Fuel-IT port injection rail and low pressure system
BMS DCI, OCC, and other little bolt on modifications
CPE intercooler
Phoenix chargepipe w/ Tial valve
Factory catback
Factory motor
Running ~E80

At 20psi (map7) it made ~530whp, ~24psi 600whp, ~25psi 615whp.

And the best part is the car runs and drives like stock. We appreciate not everyone is looking to build a 700whp or 800whp setup. I can't think of a better way to run 600whp than what we've done with this setup. :burnrubber:

Hell yea, I can't wait to see how it does at SS next weekend!

Nice DD setup!

N54 is an absolute beast..

Looking to do a similar setup, this looks amazing.

Very nice power curve!

Are these "DD" or HiFlows ?

trebila 10-20-2017 02:16 AM

it looks super lean until you reach 3500 rpm (right when PI start to flow)

I think lean spool is enabled, it goes down right when boost hits target.

Fantastic results!!!

Is this the fuel system used? or was a larger LPFP needed to reach these numbers?

The hybrid map has lean spool enabled. You can disable it if you like, but with the spool up vanos changes and leaner AFR, it does improve spool with hybrids nicely.

Any concerns with prop or drive shafts at those power levels?
I ask because I'm probably at a similar power level and starting to wonder about them.

One poster on another forum seemed to think the DCT that I have is more susceptible to breakages than the manuals.

Terry @ BMS 10-20-2017 09:22 AM

We haven't come across any issues... If you are launching on slicks that is another story, though. People break parts at 400whp on slicks with manuals. :)

480whp+ depending on health of motor and how aggressive the tuning is.

NA55 10-20-2017 07:44 PM

Nice results.. More than enough power for a daily driver..

soccerman1bmw 10-21-2017 10:46 AM

Nice results! any quarter mile times for this car?

Are there any adjustments that would take better advantages of the inlets? Or is the E85Hybrid/Map7 good to go?

All in all, looks great. Would love to know if these are DD/Hiflow, 1.75" vs 2" inlet bands, and what inlets are on the car.

On the turbos I don't know, you'd have to ask Pure. They've been on there awhile so likely not the latest offerings. Inlets were from RB and are larger for hybrid turbos.

Overall the tuning is fairly well optimized. It can be pushed more aggressively but also with more risk.

Cool man, thanks for the reply.

These are the Pure Stg2 HiFlow turbos with 2" inlet. Thank you! :)

How are the clutch/flywheel performing at these power levels? Is the flywheel a SMFW?
