Haha, I think youre in the wrong car line if you want black out acceleration. The guys at UGR may be able to sell you a TT Lambo that will get a little closer to that goal though, hehe.

I can get race gas 1 mile from my house. It's 110 octane leaded obviously. To use map 7 with my EWG harness. What ratio should I use?

Wouldn't run leaded gas in these cars unless you wish to destroy your 02 sensors. 100-101 octane is typically as high as it gets unleaded.

Unleaded only, IMHO! I'm not a Lambo guy. But if you want to move up test drive the new M3 and M5. Both fly with tunes. :)

It does it when the engine is on...it takes a while to reprogram your self from holding the volume down button to long when adjusting the radio.

To prevent misuse it would be helpfull to change the activation process. Maybe long time down button and shortly up for map 0 and long time down and two times up for the other map or something like that.

So now FF wires are required to run an EWG car with EWG harness despite whether we are running E85 mixes or not? Its mentioned on the first page of this thread but I haven't seen it discussed here or announced anywhere...

I currently have ewg harness without ff wires on map 5 using 99ron fuel. No plans for mixing ethenol. What are the disadvantages of not using the ff wires in my case?

Looks like some communication was initiated and now there is a statement that it is required to use the FF wiring with the EWG. For cars with an EWG, the JB4 EWG harness allows you to properly monitor the HPFP and as such finer AFR compensation. Without the flex fuel wiring tapping into the fuel rail sensor the logs of the HPFP will be incorrect (atleast on the N55...).

Terry, there are a few of us running the JB4 with EWG harness over on babyBMW in the UK. A couple of questions have cropped up if you could take the time to reply please.

1.Is there any inherent dangers in running map 5 and the EWG Harness plugged in without FF wires and if so what might they be?

2. If we are not going to get the FF wires should we be unplugging the EWG harness?

Why arent we getting any firmware updates?

From reading the EWG post... its recommended that cars with a EWG should run the new 2.6EWG firmware, regardless if you have the EWG and FF harness installed.

F series firmware updates are posted regularly!

There have not been many changes on that front recently. But our 2013 335 is pneumatic and it's never far from our mind. :)

I was hoping to do some dyno work today with it but other unrelated projects cropped up. Probably Friday before I get back to it.

So, in short, does it mean?

either
i.) You can live without any harness (EWG, FF) - map 1 is recommended;
or
ii.) Connect both EWG && FF wires at the same time - map 2 is recommended unless you are a Pro who understand a lot.
