The maps have always been on the units we just don't recommend there use unless someone has capability to check logs when using them.
Map 3 is a mild torque map with a 20psi peak at higher rpm.
Map 5 is 26peak with a taper to 24 (very aggressive)
Map 7 pretty much logs the boost to 27
5 or 7 are typically not what the average users will use if they concerned about turbo longevity.

I'm running a MAP6 on my 2015 S3. All was well but noticing a hiccup. Not sure if JB4 related or DSG related, but there is now a pretty severe hesitation in the 1-2 shift when taking off and at WOT, very similar to in this video.

Set your max boost 1st value to 17 and see it continues. Typically what is in the video occurs when the car looses traction and the DSG keeps it in gear till speed catches up and then it shifts.

What Boost do you recommend now for Map6 if driveability and concernes about the Turbo are needed?
Im at 23 at 4krpm to 5 now, starting with 15 at 1500.
What curve do you recommend @George @ BMS for all day driving?
I think I‘ll have the is38 Turbo in my Cupra 300. I think that makes a Difference to the GTI with the IS20?

Those are decent enough for longevity of the turbo.
The main killer is spiking the turbo early when it starts to surge up to 3800 which eats up the thrust bearing. You will hear a flutter noise when this occurs and know the spool is too aggressive.

Load is a internal value and not used on the VAG units.

Correct. The firmware was cleaned up.

Is MAP 2 still the same it was in the first page?

Correct. The actual boost will vary based on intake temperature so in the colder months you will see less boost. Its a additive map so its add 5.4psi peak over stock.

If I try the any maps like 2, 6 or 7, is trere any protection for unsafe knock or bad afr?
Will JB4 change itself to a safer map with less boost?

The ECU will pull timing if it knocks and the JB4 will map switch to map 4 if it runs lean if the ECU does not intervene first. Generally map 7 is set far to aggressive for a stock turbo.

What is the Limit for a Stock Turbo IS20 and also for the IS38 in your Opinion?

26psi taper to 22 on both with 22 being considered very aggressive. You also dont want to spool it too fast where you get compressor surge which most enthusiasts are calling DV flutter.

I Unterstand, that in the Midrange the Max is 26 and decreases to 22 at redline?
Next days i make a Screenshot of my current map6 and Post it here for discussion.
Im on 23 at 3,5 to 5,5 going to 17 on Redline.

On the Cupra the boost is generally lower and the car seems to run better with lower boost. There seems to be more torque limitation so we normally dont set these too aggressive.

Ok, but i have a dsg tune working, so the torque Limit of the dsg shoult set to nearly 550 Nm. Or are there more Torque limiting things?

There is on the engine as well. The ECU will limit the waist gate range. To date I haven't seen a Cupra with JB4 hit 26psi.

Here is my current map 6 for all day driving.
Whats your opinion? Is there room for more boost on 6 to 6.5 Krpm?
Car is stock, only a apr Turbo Inlet is used and a DSG Tune.

This is good for 98Ron and cooler climate on a stock car.
I wouldn't add more boost higher up as the timing will be affected. Shoot over logs to my email if you want to have them checked.

Quick question, yesterday I set Future Use D to 90 on my JB4 to autoclear CEL due to ******** (P0420) however on my commute this morning the code and CEL came back. Does the code have to register multiple times for JB4 to autoclear?

If you in the US the autoclear is disabled as we cannot add emission defeat functions for legal purposes.
