any plans on an intake system for the M550i?

ps JB4 getting installed Friday morning, super excited to feel difference.

We haven't looked in to an intake yet on the M550, we explored it on the previous 550 but ultimately decided the market wasn't there to justify the costs of making it.

just had the jb4 installed.

car feels good, boost response is improved. ill do some logs after a few more miles and its adapted.

Terry question the techs did not connect the EWG sensors to the jb4. this shouldnt have any negative affects?

We haven't really done the R&D for those yet on the N63TU, just left them on the harness for future upgrade. So they did the right thing leaving them off for now. :)

What’s the difference between map 2 & 3/5?

I know one says Additive and the other is absolute but what does that even mean? Haha

Which one would produce most boost/power?

And is it safe to run?

Additive maps are adding boost to the stock profile, while absolute maps are targeting a fixed profile via the JB4 mapping regardless of what the ECU is asking for. Both have their advantages. Grab a log on map3, another on map2, and lets compare them for your situation.

I’d assume that has the EWG connected to be able reach those power levels.

The exhaust changes with higher boost won't be dramatic, but it will be a little louder. :)

I'll be turning in my '16 M5 lease this summer and have a M550 on order. Would I be able to use the JB4 hardware from my M5 on the M550?

The M550 uses a different harness that is EWG based, so best to sell that one and buy the correct one for the new ride! You're going to love the AWD. :)

Any point in doing it if im on 94 octane pump gas? I have a dme flash
