JB4 as WMI controller?
 
Hello team,

Is it possible to use JB4 as WMI controller?
As example if I flash my car but I don’t want JB4 to interfere the timing table, boost ,,etc

It will be great if we can use it like a standard alone controller.

Maybe in map6 with zero add boost?

Or you can configure map8?

Yes, we have maps setup for just that purpose. Flash away, post a log on map0 here, and we'll help you dial it in.

Hey Terry which map can I use to control meth without the JB4 interfering with my flash tune?

I flashed to a Stage 1 tune (16PSI) about a week ago and have JB4 on map0. I'd like to re-enable my WMI but I'm unclear if I need to use Map 7 with certain settings, or if I need to get custom firmware that will not affect any of the settings controlled by the flash tune. If it is just Map 7, what settings do I use?

Terry said post a log with your stage 1 flash and JB4 set on map 0 and they will help you dial it in. Logs need to be looked at so they can help you set the starting meth injection and everything else that needs to be dialed in.

OK - Resurrecting this. Sorry - ha.

It’s Black Friday, and that means I went nuts. I’m going for 10’s. I went with:

Vargas Turbo
Vargas Supra HPFP
Wedge / MHD Custom Tune (93)

I STILL want to use Meth...I have everything installed, and anyone who knows about the WMI install, understands that it takes awhile to install.

Now, the only thing that I need to confirm is how to have the JB4 just be a methanol sprayer and engine safety unit.

Assuming I disconnect the JB4 from OBD2 port, does anyone know if the JB4 is connected to the canbus or converting the tmap value to digital PWM? This would mess with the DME sample rate and will cause issues tuning.

I have no idea, so just trying to sort it all and I really like the JB4 from a WMI Controller and Engine Safety perspective.

Should I just have Wedge tune it via MHD with no JB4 connected to any sensor, and then connect the JB4, put it in Map 0, and then log, and then adjust WMI settings?

I feel like I’d want to do all of this in conjunction (have Wedge tune with WMI spraying, but not have JB4 impacting the tune). Is this possible?
