Instructions

N63tu install is a little different than s63tu on x5 and the instructions are for the x5m.
This is for N63tu V2 W/ integrated BCM

The New TU JB4 plugs into the TMAP sensors. Its assumed that if you're installing a piggyback that you have at least some mechanical aptitude and can find the TMAP sensors. They're on the bottom sides of the intercoolers.

The older one plugs into the MAFs, which are on the intake tubes.

The passanger side intercooler has 3 bolts to get it off to access the boost solinoids, I know where the tmap sensors are. The instructions show one bolt, well there are 3 and the third one is impossible to get to. How do I get the intercooler off?

Nothings impossible, I got it. Lol. But this is not the easiest of installs.

Where can I download the software / firmware to my laptop to access the JB4 via USB cable?? I want to turn this up.

Thank you!

So I am now in the same boat as the OP. JB4 V2 with BCM installed, but I haven't braved the intercooler removal yet. Are there any instructions out there besides the S63tu ones? I am not afraid to do the work, I am just afraid to do it incorrectly. :lol

Its doable takes a bit of extra time because it is more difficult than the instructions say. The intercoolers are different, the bottom bolt is tuff you have to reach under with an extension.

You wouldnt happen to have any pics, would you? Also are the the drivers and passanger side soleniods in the same locations as on the s63tu?

I'd have to poke around to see what guides we have, but the basic install is the same for all N63TU/S63TU applications. TMAP connections on intercoolers, OBDII, and optional BCM connections. I'd skip the BCM connections to start as they are a PITA and in many cases not required.

I was hoping to run e30 on map 5. In one of your older posts you stated the bcm is required for that. Is that no longer true with the latest jb4?

I'm running on setting 2 with e30. Without e30 its noticeably slower when the temps increase. I haven't been able to data log and make my own map or even get familiar with tuning on the JB4.
