Default Flex fuel install help - 12-10-2016, 07:54 PM

Hi all,

I recently purchased a JB4 from a forum member, this is going in my 2013 (PWG) 335i.
The JB4 came with everything but the flex fuel wires.
I ordered a new set of flex fuel wires and proceeded to try and follow the instructions.

I'm following the instructions here: http://www.burgertuning.com/instruct...el_Install.pdf

Pin 21 was already occupied with a PINed wire a small length of black wire that was cut clean.

The new flex fuel wires I ordered came with 2 black wires, one of them pinned. I know what to do with the pinned wire (plan on soldering and shrink tubing it to Pin 21 as per the instructions.)

But where does this other black spliced wire go? (Step 4 in the PDF above) My JB4 wire bundle doesn't have 2 green pairs in it's wire bundle as the instructions say it would.

Am I totally missing something here?
Thanks!

What wires do you have if there aren't 2 greens?

Sounds like the FF wires were installed at one time on that JB4 harness.

That's the biggest problem with buying these used, you don't know the settings, condition, or changes that have been made.

They were, the seller stressed that in their listing. It's it not possible to add these wires?

Its possible, but you gotta figure out which wire goes to which pin, and go from there.

OK, thanks.

So I know which wire goes to pin 21, could anyone with the 2 black wire flex fuel sensor tell me what pin the other wire goes to?

Just an update, this is working just fine now. Thanks to John, Mike, and Steve for the help. I posted a little blurb on my blog about installing the JB4 as well as info pertaining to this very issue should anyone run into it themselves. As always any comments, suggestions are always welcome..
